Spoken, forgotten

HAH. My forum got published online. Thank goodness not in print. I wouldn't know how to respond if my dad got to read it before i did in the Home section. I realised 1/4 of what I wrote was editted out. And those were parts I thought was important. Parts like TEDS helps you not to judge people on a superficial value. And all i got were mindless comments, or comments that swerved to religion. Which strays from what i'm beseeching. Sigh. What to do? At least i did something in the spur of the moment. Good for you, missy.

"I understand that Singapore is still not very to open to topics about
homosexuality, so kudos for airing the Ellen DeGeneres talk show.
However, it disturbs me that whenever Ellen mentions her partner's
name, Portia, or whenver there is any slight mention of her sexual
orientation, channel 5 censors it and the show skids forward. It would
mean alot if viewers got to enjoy the full show for the celebrity's
talent and entertainment value, not based on her orientation- or the
lack of mentioning it. I also do not think that this act of dropping
censorship is condoning homosexuals' way of life. Since Singapore is
slowing warming up to modern society, I think Ellen's talk show is one
great example that we should not judge people based on the surface.
Also, for shows that are aired after midnight due to content, for
example Whose Line Is It Anyway, would it be possible if censorship
was axed too? Late Night shows overseas are pardoned, the fact that it
is aired at such a late time already has viewers primed for the
content. Or perhaps a "PG/Warning: unsuitable content for the young"
notice could be flashed before the show starts."
